Cant hold it in.

Something that really interested me and excited me happened last month, after I had blogged about Scott Blake's barcode art. The interesting and exciting thing? He commented on my blog. A simple "Thanks for showing interest in my work!"

Now what interests me, is I can't find my link to the Scott Blake blog on google. How the fuck did he find my page, and comment? I think small things like this are amazing and are what make life worth living :)

Scott Blake

Scott Blake is an artist who uses barcodes to create artwork. In the picture above, he has compiled different images of MDMA (Ecstasy) pills to form an image of himself. I find his work to be very simple, yet very complex. He has done other such collages, such as Barcode Jesus, and an image of President Lincoln, comprised of images of all of the past US presidents. How creative!!

Here Scott Blake has used barcodes to compile an image of Bruce Lee. In addition to the image of Bruce Lee using only barcodes, you can scan the barcodes and various Bruce Lee films will appear on the television screen. I think work like this takes alot of creative ability and openmindedness.
